The Collio, known for its excellent wines, including Ribolla, Picolit, Malvasia and Friulano, is an ideal place to explore with our yellow Vespas, which will take you along the Strada del Vino, or on Monte Quarin, the Preval Lakes, Plessiva Park, and anywhere else you please. The Vespa is perfect for "lazy wanderings and pleasant stops", as one of the signs located along the area’s narrow, silent streets reads. Stopping is certainly pleasant in one of the many wine shops scattered throughout the Collio region, tasting the renowned wines and other typical products. In this same area, there are many notable artistic and sporting attractions alongside the vineyards.
It’s not often that one can satisfy both body and mind in such a short span of time... Vespas are great for quickly reaching our region’s cultural and tourism gems. Relaxing on your Vespa you can reach Palmanova with its star fort, Cividale del Friuli, the ancient Longobard capital of Friuli and now a UNESCO World Heritage site, then onwards to Aquilea, the most important archaeological site in all of northern Italy, eventually reaching the sea at Grado, an important tourism site with famous thermal baths.
The Collio extends to the outskirts of Trieste and nearby Slovenia: a great chance to wander around on a Vespa and discover a Europe finally without borders!
